Update:

So far national authorities have been approached to contribute to AIS LIFE. However, it is clear from  the discussions  that  concrete results  are needed  to  start  the work.  The same happens in the case of unofficial discussion with officers at. EU DG Env and DG Health Consumer.

However, a major step will be achieved by the publication of the AIS Newsletter as this will be largely spread to the list of stakeholders.

Specific objectives that are planned once some results will be available include:

•          Creation of stakeholder forums in each local areas.

•          Regular stakeholder meetings providing input to project activities (min 1 every 6 months in each area).

•          Continuous stakeholder participation from all identified groups throughout project activities.

•          Productive interaction with stakeholders bringing to a comprehensive implementation of the AIS objectives.

UNIPI Unit contacted SdS Pisa, Società della Salute di Pisa (http://www.sds.zonapisana.it/) in order to create a network for dissemination and support of IIS in Pisa, IFC CNR prepared a dissemination letter for Italian stakeholders presenting the aims and the objectives of the AIS project . The letter has been sent to Environmental Ministry of Italian Government (see Annex 7.3.1).

UNIFI (Dott. Lorenzo Cecchi) had some training meeting with the staff of General Hospital of Prato to illustrate the AIS LIFE project (Annex 7.3.16 and 7.3.17). Number of participants:

10.

General comments: The stakeholder involvement has still to be implemented. Objective data

on both pollen, ultrafine particles and AIS tools have to be obtained to be more concrete in the presentation of the AIS project to the  stakeholders in order to convince them to collaborate.
